Just noticed that when you try to save a texture from Coppercube, it defaults as a .bmp format. To save transparent .png textures from coppercube, simply rename the file extension (in the dialogue box) before clicking save.
Another alternative is to publish the game as WebGL (html) target; a copperlichtdata folder is then automatically created with all the textures in their native file formats.
You'd probably only ever need to do this if you wanted to edit an existing image and have lost the original file - but it's also a quick way to get everything in one place when optimising files to make your game-size a bit smaller.
