Hey guys, There has been 2 new beta versions released since the last update, for the 0.9 update of the game. Make sure to check the newest one out if you're interested :) This second beta version marked +6000 lines of code in total (from the ~4500 lines when the project was initially released) so I'm really happy with that! A summary of the things added in these beta versions: New Cave generation using Perlin / Simplex noise, TNT's can set off other nearby TNT's so chaining them together is possible, also added a new type of TNT, new UI for crafting which shows all of the possible crafting recipes and blocks, and you can click on the block icons to add them to your inventory (creative mode only), new blocks, items, improvements and much much more. You can read the full changelog on each update's respective article on the itch page: Beta 1:https://samgamesio.itch.io/coppe... Beta 2:https://samgamesio.itch.io/coppe... Download: https://samgamesio.itch.io/coppe... Make sure to share your thoughts and suggestions if you ended up trying it out :) |

Looks very impressive and congratulations for having put this rather complex piece of code together - I know it's a lot of work. The only thing I would probably alter, just from looking at the screenshots, is: try adding more depth perception, either by fog or/and by more prominent gouraurd shading, that AFAIS you can get only by setting meshes to dynamically lit, yet you may turn off realtime shadows entirely. Setting the ambient color of the root scene node then allows to set the darkness of the shady sides of meshes. |

@csp-games Hey Dieter, Thanks! I've been shading the blocks through code and avoided using the built-in lighting system, to be able to to do an ambient occlusion effect using vertex colors (With and without AO) Now that I look at it I can see why depth perception could be a problem (specially in screenshots), maybe this could be fixed by increasing the contrast or simply making the shadows darker? will look more into this, Thanks for the suggestion! Hey @Coa, Thanks a lot! Nope the game is pretty peaceful as of now, I'm more focusing on the visuals rather than hardcore gameplay, with that being said though, there are mobs that you can kill and they'll even drop unique items, for example you can kill a fly by suffocating it with a disc player and it'll drop a unique music disc which you can play on that said disc player! |

Found this game on itch.io and couldn't believe this was made in Coppercube!! Incredible!! This is like nothing I've ever seen before in Coppercube, I really hope you can release the project files please! there is so much potential for collaborations if you make it a open project |
