Coppercraft is a voxel based game prototype with an interactable, procedurally generated environment similar to game's like Minecraft, and was originally created to test CopperCube's capabilities in handling voxel based worlds, and later was expanded upon to be a submission for the "In Cube Game Jam" CC jam, which had a theme of cloning an existing game. I declare you the "Cube Crofter" of the this game jam. for what it is worth of course i whatched the video and liked it a lot, Great The beauty is; that once you have a working game, that you can endlesly improve alter and upgrade your game. and come to different results btw a crofter is a historic scottish farmer , the commons, and land clearances and all that. other times, different but similar. |

Hey @therickman Yes, it technically can be played on all supported platforms by cc, although I didn't make it with webgl in mind, so I assume some stuff needs to be changed to make it work on webgl :) @guest Thanks, as I explained in the itch page, generating each chunk mesh takes a long time (since each block face goes through a bunch of stages to set the vertex / triangle positions, texture coords and shading / shadow data), so unless I find a faster method (which I tried a lot of different methods but none of them were plausible in terms of performance), infinite worlds are sadly impossible. |

Full changelog: - New Lavender biome - New Orange, Pink and Lavender leaf types (and particle effects) - Shader support (Thanks to @Just_In_Case) - New 3d clouds Other: - Added new ambient sounds for snow and lavender biomes - While crafting, you can see what items can be combined together and what the crafted item will be by hovering over them - Dropped items and blocks now have fixed gravity and will properly fall to the ground - Dropped items and blocks are fully optimized now, therefore dropping a lot of blocks (or in general, having a lot of dropped entities) no longer causes frame drops - Added snowfall particles to snow biomes - Placing a block will no longer remove it from the inventory while in creative mode - Rebalanced the biome selection chances, grass and sand biomes are much less dominant now, so you should come across other biomes more frequently - Small fixes and improvements here and there Keep in mind that the update is not compatible with older saved worlds, make sure to start a new world. The new "Wingdom of the Flies" Update is available, check it out if you're interested! This update is a major update themed around Mobs, and a lot of additions, improvements and fixes! -Added butterflies, silk moths, bats and flies -Optimized shader enabled chunk mesh, shaders are more performance friendly now -Saves are now compressed around 10 times, old chunk save files are not compatible with the new version -Added new Ice blocks, which will now generate in snow biomes -Fixed the ghost blocks appearing on the map and corrupting it -Fixed the cacti missing 3d detail -Fixed the bug where the player would fall from the sky on spawn -Fixed the bug where the UI would disappear when moving out of the chunk in creative mode -Falling out of the map will respawn the player back on the island now -Fixed the block drops going through other blocks -Improved performance by rewriting the block update method, which also fixed a lots of other bugs -A lot of smaller improvements / fixes!
