when people play a game, they push the play button and whoosh! they are transported to another place. A 3D world appears all around them. Maybe a city street, a forest, a desert world... they are there. Looking around - walking around, and they don't really think about it, but EVERYTHING they see and hear has to be created. And the more you (as the creator) can add to that world, the more real the world becomes...

even the simple things, like the sound your feet make on different surfaces - makes your world more like what the player expects it to be. a more natural world... a better world to be in.

simple things to experience - not always so simple to create! A lot of work, thought and effort goes into every little detail added to make the world you create a better one... so the GAME you create will be better for it.

As a single developer - you have to do it all yourself! No wonder projects can take months, even years to make... and why some games feel like they have been rushed...

Well, good on you to take the time and put forth the effort to make your world as real and natural as it can be. And thanks for sharing the ideas and problem solving techniques you have given the rest of us with your videos...

you have helped us do things we might not have been able to do on own own...

I have subscribed - can you add the other videos from your other channel so they are all on this one? thanks

thanks for that - yes, was going to do that actually. Makes more sense to have a dedicated channel for dedicated videos only to match...:)

Yeah thanks 'count2rfeit' for that. I was only thinking about this last night that many games overlook the basics to some extent. To me, the basics have to be done very well to start with as these are the things the player will experience more than anything else, so makes sense. Cheers !
