Does anyone know what's wrong with this lighting problem?
I thought it has something to do with normalizing and/or calculating normals and tangents but nope!
It also happen to some of the planes and other objects.

You are not alone with these problems. I don't know why either, but it happens. Could be that at some point there is too much objects/calculation to be done which Coppercube can't handle?
I've tried to rid it by deleting lights and adding new ones, by recalculating lightmaps and switching from dynamic to static and vice versa.
Have not suceeded and would be glad if this was not a problem.
In my recent file I discarded Coppercubes internal lighting and lit it in Blender instead where I baked all textures for most static objects and imported them into CC. It's tedious but take away this problem and the result is nice with proper lights and shadows.

Also, I've had problems in several files with lighting. Specifically some objects that switch from being lit and then from a slightliy different angle gets dark and vice versa. As if a light source was suddenly deleted or added. Also if it's a direct light, which i try to avoid, it can also cause shadows to go bananas. In this case, it might, but not always, help to delete light sources and add them again. And/or export the ccb-file and import it into a new ccb-file.

I do hope that our dear author has some ideas about this and how it can be fixed in a near future. I can happily provide more videos and ccb-files where these problems occur.

I'm guessing your models are FBX, DAE or OBJ? I had that problem with most formats I used and the only format that always worked fine was 3DS (I'm using Blender 2.79b so I'm not sure if other 3D programs would produce the same thing when exporting to 3DS).

The problem I had was related to the lighting not being properly applied to model's currant rotation in scene but applied to model's original/native rotation.

You can try rotating problematic model by 180° if it's possible or try using 3DS, for some reason only 3DS had mostly evened-out lighting in my scenes.

I'll try anything, so those tips are welcome!

Have you tried to recalculate the lightmapping yet..?
It works for me sometimes. For me, it's happened when i rotating or scaling or moving the object. Lightmap is used for static objects. So if you've moved the objects position, rotate it, or scaling it, You must recalculate the lightmap. Hope it works for you.. :)

The resolution of the lightmaps you're making causes it as far as I can tell. I had this exact same issue, and by playing with the values, I got it to disappear (more or less - I don't use CC anymore)

I don't use lightmaps, it's dynamic.
