So I sent a bit of my game to someone for testing on their 8 year old MacBook Pro which is running 10.13 and it keeps giving the error which I mentioned in the subject title. I sent this person a test CCB with the cube, skybox and a third person camera pointing at it and it loaded, but it made his machine go to 100% CPU usage...

You get this message in MacOS if the app is 32 bit and you have a newer MacOS. Apple does this to try to force developers to update their apps to 64bit. It doesn't have anything to do with performance. The game will usually use 100% CPU since that's what games do: try to squeeze everything out of the machine to make the game run nice.
So in short: Everything normal.
