Hi, there is now a new free downloadable component for RocketCake available: A contact form with some anti-spam features, as requested by many users. You can enter a question which the user needs to answer correctly before the form is sent. Like "what's 12+5?" or "What's the capital city of Austria?" You can download it here: https://www.ambiera.com/rocketca... |

Uh, that's awesome, thx! |
You can enter a question which the user needs to answer correctly before the form is sent. How would I do this? There is no such option in the Properties. And if I try to overwrite the question directly in the contact form the text field for the answer will disappear. |
There should be the property "antiSpamAnswer", where you can enter the answer. The question needs to be written directly on the page. |

The question needs to be written directly on the page. That's what I have tried. And yes, I can edit the question, but as soon as I do, the answer textfield will disappear. BTW, that applies for the other descriptions as well. E.g. if I want to replace "Name:" with "Ihr Name:" the textfield will disappear. |

I have just found out how it works: One has to put the cursor into the text and just start typing, without marking the text before. |
The field is embedded in the text but floating to the right. Try carefully deleting single characters one by one, or replacing them. Should work. But true, the layout could be changed to make it a bit easier. |
Just another question on the anti spam feature: Assume the correct answer to the anti spam question would be letters (rather than digits), would the required answer be case sensitive, or not? |
True, this is now fixed. Answers are now case insensitive, and also the text is now easier to replace without deleting the input field. To update to the new updated component, re-download and install it, then load your project, delete the contact form on your site and add it again. |

Just how good is the anti-spam capability of this extension? I just got a spam message from my contact form and I can’t tell if a robot defeated the question safeguard or if a human in a sweatshop somewhere sent it. |
It's simple, but works. Stopped the spam for me completely. |

It's simple, but works. Stopped the spam for me completely. Well, I must be unlucky because the amount of spam coming through my contact form is accelerating. I'm going to change the challenge question to see if that helps anything. |
I have the same problem. As soon as I put the contact page online, the spam starts. That's why I've deactivated it for now. |

I installed the extension and created a new form with What is 2+22=? as the text block label but do not see property "antiSpamAnswer" to type the hidden answer. Where is this located? I do NOT see any "property" menu. |
