If you want to animate your own 3D character using your own body and you do not want subscription services and you don't want to have to send videos of yourself acting out a scene to a server that you have no control over, you might want to try out this free tool FreeMoCap.

I reviewed this software, it works really really well if you have two cameras...or two phone with cameras...
