Massive upgrade: new AI system, new pathfinding system, added crouching, alien vision, alien hearing and numerous others things. - Smooth crouch from/to any angle keeping collisions - Finite state machine AI with global overrides - Alien vision based on head angle not body rotation - Alien hearing detection according to player distance/volume - Doors make sounds the Alien can track also - New superfast pathfinding system (RIPA) - Alien can path to anywhere in the entire level - Kept previous follow/charge state with recover to pathing - Better lighting (although not yet rotating spotlights) - Alien smart search plus shortcuts when needed - More accurate attack damage - More time to complete level - 5 mins - stealth crouch/walk sometimes best option https://robo25.itch.io/alien-revenge Let me know any bugs found and enjoy :) |

Very cool game - Level design and AI very nice. About bugs.. i have no mouse cursor on menu. I had no sounds in game. |

very nice update the alien pathfinding is great the map looks also great! great game robbo! the only thing i noticed in the game that the text in 2doverlays where sometimes to big for the overlay and not showing all texts i use resolution 1024x576 cheers! |

Thanks EOH and good point. Different resolutions requires different text sizes to suit each resolution. The pictures I have scale automatically just fine...I should do the same for all text boxes also so that it still looks right....cheers |

Not being able to find the exit. I took damage even though the alien was far from me I looked back he was far away but I had just taken damage. Well, to evaluate the pathfinding, I believe it has to have the camera mode so that the player can see the enemy. top view. |

He may have used his long range kick instead of hand attacks - it can go much further as each attack is separately checked for distance from the end of each attack node, or you may have fallen of an edge and taken fall damage sounds more likely... |

Forgot to mention before : thanks Sven and others who liked my game... now to your question: Actually my Saturn 7 game already has a good fall damage same like this game so its the other way around really but yeah this game needed it to stop players just jumping off and taking massive shortcuts without penalty...careful timing of that can be useful in the game... |

Nice update @Robbo, I like the speed reduction based on the fall damage, also, sometimes the alien after attacking, move randomly to another area, and stays there for a bit but then eventually come backs to the player. This is so far a very good game and AI, also the alien jumps, who won't love an AI that can jump obstacles. |

haha :) - thanks 'just_in_case', I made the alien to try and overtake you and get ahead of the player sometimes for more interesting gameplay.. and jumping over stuff and taking shortcuts is also amusing IMO...and matches the movie more also... |
