Anyone know where the .x 1.22 importer is for 3D studio max? |
You will get all the the freeware plugins here on this website. Including the one from MoFo. simply search it in the search bar.. http://maxplugins.de/ or here is the direct link to the mofo exporter https://www.maxplugins.de/r6_fil... however I am unable to understand why you are using .x format when other format are just working fine for you. anyways hope that the above one is what you were looking for, Hope that helps |

that version doesn't work with max 2008 only the 1.22 version does. Besides i have already tested the 1.19 version it refuses to initialise in max 2008! So i am still searching for it. any help would be good. that plugins site links to a dead site which mofos site! |

you could try using blender 2.79; that should work. Not a real solution to your problem, tho.... |
gree the only .x version known to work is 2.66 of blender! |
I now have 1.22 of the .x exporter! |
That's confusing, one says 2.79 works with x. I tried it and no x in there. One says 2.66 and and it does not even have either x or fbx. I never saw a tutorial teaching how to properly export an animation that would even show up inside coppeecube |

Hi Aloan, I believe you're talking about blender. 2.79 works for exporting .x files. Though, I'm pretty much sure it doesn't support importing. 2.79 works for me - the proper way of exporting animation is described here: https://www.ambiera.com/forum.php?t=5304 |
What veganpete said in the end discouraged me from trying. I'll give that a go. But I remember downloading blender 2.79 and not seeing x export option anywhere |
also, that post is for the 2.78c which I also did not see the x export option either! |

Problem solving skills level GOD. Just post one question in 3 threads. Is it that hard to open google.com and type: "how to enable direct3d .x export in blender 2.7"? If you do that google will tell you, look here dear Aloan: https://blender.stackexchange.co... probably, it's something you're looking for. You are having this issue for multiple days, right? I'm just curious, do you really expect to make something with that engine with that level of problem solving? |
Ahh, the ease of assuming something and doing things based on that assumption... I posted in them since they all relate to a similar problem I am having and so anyone from these threads could probalby respond. Fact 1: I have posts in this forum since 2019! so can you count how many years I have been having this problem? would you care to think as to why I am asking this question just now? would you probably guess that this problem led me to abandon Coppercube? Would you have guessed that Coppercube is my favorite engine? Would you not think I searched a lot in Google, Watched videos and read posts regarding the matter and could still not make my animated models work? I have used several blender versions, I have made countless fbx exports, I even used the autodesk fbx converter... I have even tried to use Milkshape, but found out its too complicaded for an animation I already had made ready in Blockbench and I did not want to redo all animations in it... I went into the link you sent and that did not do any good for me since the so called bundle did NOT have a DirectX exporter.. In fact, it is as if It trolled me, by having a DirectX IMPORTER, which is the complete opposite of what I need. Do you also realize I want nothing for my self and that I will share all that I create with the engine to the community as I have well done before? I´m not here for commercial reasons, (never was). So be careful to not judge people you don´t know! Still, I am thinking about writing a text with image montage and post it here regarding my Great Adventure into trying to sucessfully bring an animated model into Coppercube... in case I can´t solve my issue in the coming days... Cheers! :) |

Ok, so what is fact 2? Tbh I don't care about your personality or your favorite engine, or stuff you've shared. You wrote: "also, that post is for the 2.78c which I also did not see the x export option either!" Have you seen the screenshot? - export is there if you just add .x exporter addon which is a part of default blender download. You just need to enable it inside blender preferences. If animation doesn't work for you: 1. Download both blender versions 3.4 and 2.79 2. Import your fbx to 3.4 3. Export to glb - that way you bake fancy fbx animations to stupid glb format 4. Import glb to blender 3.4 and re-export as fbx again 5. Import fbx to 2.79 6. Enable .x export addon in blender 2.79 preferences 7. Export to .x - use options mentioned in the link I've send you Hope I saved you another 5 years of trying. |

Fact 2, 3, 4 and etc, where all over the post. Good level of thinking huh? I do not care if you care or not. There was a reason behind what I wrote, since I notice just how nice and respectfull of a person you are! Thank you for the user preference explanation! I am yet to try the outlined steps hoping I don´t spend several years stuck again! |

Update: Nothing worked. Not even bforartists helped. I give up and will go back to CraftStudio where the differences are: 1- no shadows 2- all models are made and animated there 3- Lua programming. |
