Today I would like to share some info about my latest CopperCube project with you. It'll hopefully become a fully developed medieval fantasy shooter with some quest solving and melee combat elements some day. I present you an early work-in-progress version of this project being still buggy and highly un-optimized. (So better try it out with a more powerful computer?). At the moment I'm re-coding the whole thing to give it a better performance on weaker systems like older laptops. I'm also further trying to eliminate most of my assembled CC editor mechanics as much as possible and finally drive the game from one bigger main script plus some smaller auxiliary scripts only, because I'm convinced this will lead to a better overview, better control and better expandability. Thanks to everyone here in the community having shared knowledge and advice to make this project happen. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ye3kv7... |

Screenshots are looking great! Any chance to see this in WebGL? |
||||
|
Thanks @csp-games! Sorry, WebGL would be too sluggish nor would it support the complete feature set of this project. But if you ain't no Windows fan, the game runs great on Linux+Wine !!! |

Beautiful screen of game. Make a video on YouTube about your game. |

Cool screenshot ! I am looking forward to your project ^^ I want to learn more with CopperCube to make a good game xD |

windows 10 For me it doesnt play as it should. All it does is loading screen (picture 1 on your first post) If i kill start.exe from task_manager then i see commandprompt. It asks for input: Archive: 002.bak replace data/0? [y]es, [n]o, [A]ll, [N]one, [r]ename: And it keeps ask them.. and if i kill those prompts and keep start.exe running then game will eventually start. Game looks nice. |

Thanks @Arcanjo, good idea. Thank you too, @sven. Don't worry people. There is no need to kill any task. Please just simply press a key like Space, Return or Left Mouse Button to change from title to help screen and then into the game. ... guess I should have better mentioned this before... |

For me as a computer nerd its known trick to press buttons. For me there is no game if i dont kill those prompts. (with kill i mean end task in task manager) Even with antivirus disabled i cant run it. |

I made a video of this problem. Game looks small in video i dont know why but actually its fullscreen (in the view what i see). if you see me stare startupscreen then i press buttons there and get no responding.. then you see me selecting taskview.. and you see there is PROMPT waiting input.. i can manually input something in it or just kill it.. then game will start. My comment point is not to talk bad about your project (your project is cool) but i am pointing out problem that i am faceing with my side -so you know and you can fix it. https://youtu.be/vVXa1obY3M0 windows 10 home 64 bit NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti |

@sven, sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for bringing the problem to my attention. Unpacking game data under windows 10 did not work correctly. I think I've fixed the problem for now and uploaded the project again. Please give it another shot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vqbkm5... |

Really nice early work-in-progress I like the skeletons and player gfx looking forward to more content one problem is you have to be very quick to click on the screen when it starts because the windows quits fullscreen on game and make it invisible but you can click on the toolbar icon to make it fullscreen again and you have to be quick to click when it starts because it loosed fullscreen like i said |

Thank you @coa, I'm aware that I still have a lot of work ahead. Please tell me, have you encountered the issue also with my re-uploaded version? https://www.dropbox.com/s/vqbkm5... |
