@bob Well, maybe niko needs some time to take a rest from CopperCube. like he said on twitter: I assume that niko prefer to develop his games to take a rest from very hard stuff. And once again, it's makes sense for me.. And about @Zoo, i just ask him to be more "patience". I know he's a one of the best JavaScript developer in this family. I'm not that new here. i already joined this family since.. Umm.. October, 1.. 2.. 3.. 4.. 5, 5 months. So i know who's the most active member, who's good at what, and some spammers username.. XD |

Just because he's contributed stuff to the community makes him no better than any other member. It's silly... When he has, time and time again, complained about Niko's work schedule and what he prioritizes, yeah I'm going to call him out on it. I refuse to keep my mouth shut! |

Coppercube needs more ray-tracing Codes for better graphics any game produced in the engine seems like 1950(s) game. Coppercube is a lot behind its any other small engines out there. Other Engines like Unity & Unreal Engine have a tons of jaw dropping features like Real time ray tracing, real time Physics simulation, PBR's a lot more tools to make AI Characters But I wonder Coppercubes whole Terrain has identical trees & so symmetrical hills in straight lines. VALVe works as a team. Not an individual like niko. That's why its a slow process of updating but making an engine an opensource engine so more attention would be paid to it by lot of developers as I said earlier. If you don't want it to be open source engine you can hire employees (investing in this would make a large change & profit too ;) |

I really think CopperCube would profit from being open source, because it could actively be developed by many people and become a better engine. Yet, Niko wants his money and I can understand it. But did you know open source projects can generate profit by sponsors and affiliates? That's just food for thought, Niko. |

As I wrote (Earlier in another thread long time ago) I think it was open discussion topic 'Limitations/Shortcomings of Coppercube (You can search it) Godot & Blender are getting a lot I mean a really lot of donation. If Coppercube would be opensource it would get more donations than niko earns now. What's your estimate; How much copies of coppercube has been sold? Blender Development fund; Source: https://fund.blender.org/ |

Exactly John, it doesnt work like that nowadays. People dont pay for pro versions, they rather pay for subscription fees or donate to a open source project. Pro versions are a relic from the old times, and it doesnt get much money compared to the others. I mean, look at Adobe, they profit very well from their subscription service Creative Cloud |
