Hi @niko, I am confident about my Market research as it is what I have done professionally for many years...

I feel that if you do not bring your engine up to spec soon, you stand the change of losing a massive loss to Unity & Unreal due to the AR experience that is just around the corner.

Please read my article titled "The Death of Coppercube" - It is somewhat dramatic, I know, but hey, here's tp grabbing and audiences attention.

Simply put, we as the community in general don't fee that you are satisfying our needs in many ways and while coppercube is easy and fun, as many of us are getting more serious as game developers, we are leaving for Unity & Unreal...

But due to the rise of AR... well simply put, I feel that you will get a huge migration to Unreal & Unity like you have never before seen with your engine.

Simply put, we need better device support...not these small upgrades like shadows which are nice but not necessary for the greater scheme of things...

Like I said in the past, in a previous article, it almost feals like you have never really seen the potential of your own engine and that is sad.

It could be something far greater then Unity or Unreal in the indie market, but you are not giving the community what they keep on begging you for on these forums.

Have a look at the article, read it and think about it.

Heh, thanks for that article. :)

But you are right - I'm doing this for a long time now - first version of CopperCube was released more than 7 years ago - I've tried a lot of things with Coppercube during this time. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing, but we'll see.

For AR specficially, there is currently no market at all. Or could you give an example? Would be happy to prove me otherwise.

Okay, which AR you are talking about, AR Linux Operating Systems?
http://aros.sourceforge.net

Google, invested in to replace it with FreeBSD linux, so that the Linux can be used as a RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems) it improves Linux Calls, and make it faster to run on even low performance devices.

Sorry, but I can't relate this with anything related to CopperCube. What is the Connection between AR OS and CopperCube?

I see that the article says that coppercube will die, I don't agree, because it is small portable and good engine, but implement AR is a chance to get momentum in the market, so I agree with both.

Please Niko, implement this, it will be the first portable engine with so much professional and complex features.

I'm quite sure this time this will not take you to losses.
