I already have a interior model done but it is a little complicated, can I call copper cube to ignore it's collision bounds COMPLETELY and instead, I will use a much simpler lighter but invisible box for collision detection. ?

You could add a second, invisible model on top of that model, like set all its textures to an invisible texture. Turn that model's collision on and your visible models collision off.
