Dear Sir or Madam,

I hope not to disturb the ease in this forum, but there are some questions I have to ask, because we (www.gemusoft.de.ms) are programming a role playing game to check out the features of Irrlicht in Purebasic (with the Irrlicht wrapper by neatoma&thalius).

The Questions:
1. How do I get the Alpha into the normalmap for the parallax-shader? I mean what free program is able to mix the heightmap into the normalmap as the alphachannel?
2. How to make scripts for the Irredit? (we started to produce an own editor, but it would be more easy to customize irredit)
3. Is the inbuilt normal and parallax-shader running on DirectX8/9? I have had my problems in Purebasic...
4. And last but not least: are there examples to use Bone-physics and collision-checking? (arrow hits monster, monster is falling back, down the stairs, etc..)

thanks for all helping comments ;) :) and great work, this Engine! nothing's better (and free ;) )

1) Irrlicht has a function of this in its IVideoDriver interface. You could easily write your own tool to do this for example.
2) see here: http://www.ambiera.com/irredit/scripting.html
3) Yes, both on D3D8 and 9, and in OpenGL
4) Currently not, but take a look in the irrlicht forum, I bet you'll find something there.

Well, big thank to you, Niko. :)

I wanted to wait answering here till we have the first screenshots, but now I just must make a comment.
Thank you for helping me. In a few months we will make a first demo and release it here.
(It seems to be without physics, because the wrapper-writer have problems with newton usw, but let's see.)

good luck for developing irrlicht ;)

- yours Max.

ps: information about the project (not updated yet, and german, only, at the moment.)
[[and sorry for my poor english ;)]]
