I'm an experienced 3D artist doing some work for a game done in irrEdit. I was hoping to use irrEdit's convenient features to my advantage, but I've run into what I feel like is a very noob-tastic problem that i'm a little embarrassed about.
I added a directional light into my scene, and it's shining down the positive Z. I rotate the light, and nothing changes. The light keeps shining down the positive z. So I go looking for some attribute that controls the direction of the shine, and I don't see any.
So... how do I change the direction it's shining in?

The reason for this is that directional lights are not supported that well in irredit yet. I think it works like the position of the light simply gets interpreted as the direction vector by irrlicht.
