What is the best type of mesh to load when working with lighting in IrrEdit? I have imported my meshes as obj and 3ds meshes, but the lighting does not seem to effect them in the editor. ATM, I am having to adjust my lighting, save the scene and load my game to see any changes. As you can imagine, this is a lengthy process when working with an entire game worthy level map.

Which lighting do you mean, static (lightmaps) or dynamic? For dynamic lighting, you only need to set the lighting flag of the material of your mesh to 'true', maybe this is your problem.
