I've been trying to use the lightmap generator of irrEdit. I imported a mesh. Added a light. Turned on mesh's lighting. Generated a lightmap and put it into the second texture. Selected lightmap_light_m4 and tried exporting the mesh in collada format however; I do not get any textures saved with it. I also set the working directory but that did not help either. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? |

Hm, maybe it simply generated lightmaps? Maybe your mesh is too small and detailed, so it only used vertex lights to light it. Just play around with the lighting parameters, this should help. |

The editor seems to light my mesh but writes a 1.png file, all black, 1,204 bytes. should I try the 0.7 version? http://terrymorgan.net/images/church_lmaps.jpg The church is 2x the size of the default cube. |

Looks like that irrlicht release really broke a lot of features. Simply switch to bmp lightmaps, you can set this in the options dialog of irredit. |

Simply switch to bmp lightmaps I tried that, tried it with irredit 0.7 also, the 512x512 bmp was all black. Do you have an .irr file you've made lightmaps with available? |
