Switching walk, run, jump animations

I'm trying to figure out how to switch between different walk cycles. I have two different walk, run, etc animations. One for armed one for unarmed. Problem is, I can't seem to get the character to walk with a gun, it just goes back to the unarmed walk.

I tried setting a variable "armed"

0 is the unarmed walk and 1 is the armed walk. I've tried slipping a variable argument when AWSD are pressed but still nothing.

For the record, I'm using a 3rd person camera.

I've tried and failed. I've tried when a key is pressed approach for WASD and it still isn't working. This is darn frustrating. Any input on this would be welcome. The answer is probably staring me in the face.

For testing try it without any camera attached to model.

If it works then problem with 3rd person camera conflict..
If it still doesnt work then its your variable and animation set error.

If i remember correct then 3rd person camera has animation to be set.. and this may do conflict with your animations.
I dont remember does setting it NONE was helpful.. i always ended up with making my own camera controllers.
Or i used dummy node that camera has attavhed to so animated model moves witj dummy node and animations was free to set.

Edit: i did remember wrong :D camera has nothing to do with animations.

I would use PRINT command to display my variable and animation set part..
So i would see what happens in codeflow.

It sort of works. I can now switch between walk modes.
