CopperCube does not work properly on Windows 11 23H2

CC can't install the DirectX SDK runtime or something like that that comes in the CC folder, and a bug appears when testing the game that says it can't compile the shader, and some shadows are wrong.

And every time you start the CC, it asks to install the DirectX runtime.

I tried to install it manually, and I runned the DirectX runtime as administrator, it installs, but it doesn't work either, I even moved the dlls to the CC folder, but the same error messages appears.

The only thing I did differently was install the latest version of Windows 11, that is the 23H2 and now this is happening, I believe it is some incompatibility of CC or DirectX Runtime with this version.

Also if you config something to be affected by the wind, it doesnt work. But in OpenGL everything works properly.

If you download my game (Stage 1), I've also included a DirectX runtime installer (same one?) that fixes the black screen graphics bug. It's a known issue with CopperCube 6.6 wanting to use older DirectX graphic functions that the latest versions of Windows/DirectX no longer come with or somesuch. At least there is a work-around, thankfully!

It didn't work, I also tried the file posted above and it didn't work, for now it's only with OpenGL, I can't even switch to DirectX anymore in CC.

You may have to back up your system, reformat, and reinstall Windows 11. I suspect there may be some corruption going on in Windows that is making life difficult in CopperCube. Also, check to make sure Windows 11 is happy with all updates. Windows sometimes likes to make life difficult until it gets it's way. I'd also recommend running SystemCare (Free version) from ioBit.

I doubt it's a problem with Windows, everything is working perfectly, including other 3D applications, except CC.

I'm not going to reinstall Windows 11 (Note, I don't know what Microsoft did, but I deleted, created new formated drives and installed W11 super quickly from the pen drive, like 15 minutes or something), again I'm starting to think about CC alternatives.

I don't recall... have you downloaded Stage 1 of my game? If you run it, if the beginning of the game blacks out, the DirectX Runtime installer I included fixes that issue. If you have the black screen issue with my game, then maybe you need THAT version of the DirectX runtime installer to fix your problem. It's worth a shot. Won't cost you anything to try.

Also, no. Reinstalling Windows 11 is such a non-fix. This is basically the same as buying a brand new car when you run out of gas instead of just putting more gas in... Just install what I linked, restart the PC and you shouldn't have this issue anymore.
