CC needs a sandbox style approach.

You know, drag and drop prefabs in the map, and it's already playable and everything is already configured, similar to CryEngine, you can already shoot, swim, get into a vehicle, etc, at least in the CryEngine that comes with the games, I dont know about the engine alone how it works.

Like openworld, you just position the assets and configure them the way you want.

GameGuruMax has this approach and features a market-place to purchase additional prefabs - but it wouldn't really suit Coppercube, because you can make many different styles of games and apps with Coppercube - using prefabs, set to work in a particular way in a coppercube sandbox, would prevent you making custom-made games in coppercube....

But....

That's exactly what the "export prefab" feature is for in coppercube, it allows you to export,models,lighting,properties,textures,behaviours,actions/scripts - anything/everything from a scene, all ready to be imported into another game/scene.

So to achieve what your asking is as simple as exporting/importing as a scene/prefab in Coppercube.

In fact, this has more to do with the organization and availability of assets/prefabs on the surface than modifying something internal to the engine.

Do you know that when you open CC, the "New 3D App" window appears, and you have "open example app" and there you could choose "sandbox/open world" instead of "terrain", and start with everything active with fps or tps camera, player, enemies, vehicles and map, etc., maybe something like that would be better, like I said before a little more depth would be enough, such as better standard assets/prefabs/scripts.

The prefab export is full of bugs, misplaced objects, wrong textures, etc.

It should also be possible to export only the selected node as a prefab.

Yes, I completely get what you mean, that would just be a case of someone making a scene for you with everything you want - vehicles, people, cameras, controller scripts etc, then export the entire scene.ccb as a prefab for you to open and tweak as a default starting-point.

There shouldn't (in theory) be any bugs/problem with position/textures etc as a scene/prefab file is essentially just the same as a ccb file, as far as I can tell.

You're correct though, it would be better to be able to export a selected prefab - otherwise there's no real difference between saving a ccb file, exporting a prefab or exporting a scene - it all seems to be the same thing to me.

Hopefully someone can make a sandbox for you, using the available vehicle/camera/controller scripts, if you list everything you want it to have - then it can be uploaded.

It's not for me, no one is my employee here, it's for everyone who wants it.

I also think that the "New 3D app" window should already show all the templates there too, without having to click on the "open examples app" button, and even call them as templates, similar to Sketchup, where you can save the file and the current settings as a template, and you can add new ones if you want.

I think several small adjustments would make CC much better, maybe in version 7 there will be something like this.

Let's see if I can do something like this in the future, a really dumb, low poly sandbox/openworld project.

I tried to the same, but as I am not a 3D artist, I lack good models.
one of my discord member sent me this https://assetstore.unity.com/pac... so that I can create a prefabs directory and all using the assets from this.

I worked on it for a bit, but then dropped it due to license issues. I don't think we can simply use the paid unity assets to create prefabs for Coppercube even if we purchased them.

but if you want you can use the models from the above in your sandbox for personal use.

I just want a transparent texture to be added in the default texture pack of CC
I hate adding it everytime to almost every project, it frustrates me a lot. I know I can replace one of the default texture and I can also change the default opening scene as well with my custom project . But I want it comes prebuilt in the editor.
