Hello. Why models from makehuman with rigging don&039;t work with the actor add-on - even though they work with bvh files. Thank you. |

Only certain rigged/animated-mesh formats are supported in Coppercube: Filmbox (fbx), DirectX (x), Blitz3D (b3d), Milkshape3D (ms3d). Of those,I think only filmbox and directx support multiple rigged animations. For Filmbox, I always export using 2015 version of FBX format - coppercube sometimes (not always) struggles with newer fbx file-format versions (later than 2015) by trashing the geometry, spazzing the animations or slowing coppercube to a crawl. DirectX is great (tiny file-sizes, embedded textures, faster performance, vertex colouring and multiple material slots per model) but the directx animations seemto only export as a singe/merged file so you then have to manually set them using CopperCube&039;s animation editor. Milkshape and Blitz 3D are great too (stable, quick and smallerfile-sizes) but I believe they both can only export a single animation (great for doors/trees/water etc - but not good for characters with separate animations such as walk/idle/shoot etc). You can import them to blender or ultimateunwrap or fragmotion etc and re-export them, it would probably fix the issues. Also, blender has a "better fbx exporter" plugin which seems to fix the issues with Coppercube. Personally I use ultimateunwrap as a pipeline for exporting to coppercube but it cost $60. Which format did you export them from MakeHuman? We can try and test it to see if we can find a solution for you. |
