I never run EXEs, and I encourage people to try and make a webGL version, esp. for itch.io.

That said, nice screens. Suggestions I would make: The father has a bit of a hunchback, whether or not that is intended, IDK.

Also: Try to lightmap the interior of the room, it will look much better IMHO.

The game unfortunately did not run on webGL, I'm guessing because of the large 3D models in the game, then for the father, I was not able to get a better 3d model as it was a game jam so I just downloaded one from Mixamo.
I also tried light maps but I was getting some weird results like the room was just dark and I didn't really like the lighting and look of the game even after tweaking a lot of settings, I probably didn't get something right but I hope you enjoyed the game and we're you able to pass it.

I simply run Microsoft Defender on every .EXE I download (CopperCube or otherwise), to make sure it's safe. Never had a problem yet. If I am the least bit concerned that a file might have malicious code in it, I run MS Defender. It's updated regularly, so not likely something would get past it... at least nothing has, in my experience.

Scanning is save in most cases. However, a stalker can tailor malware so it is new and unknown, designed specifically to hack a certain individual.
Only a sandbox could tell whether the code does bad stuff.

If you have no enemies, then you probably don't have to worry about that kind of thing. If so, keep it that way! ^^

@dynamogames

I see. In regards to lightmaps, maybe try set the radius, brightness and or color of the lights. If it's too dark, increase the radius.

I got no impression that he had any sort of hunchback condition, just that he is severely crippled with his leg injury and it's hard for him to get around. Having played the game, to the end, I can attest to that.

What on earth hath thou done to be so suspicious of people? Enemies are formed from conflicts. But "it takes two to tango", so who did what (to you) and what did you do (to them)?

Hi Dynamogames,

Thank you for sharing the game. First of all, even though it's a pretty simple one, and it feels like the development was a bit rushed, it's a really nice game. Also its idea is terrifying af:)

I especially like that your game has a complete story, and a game mechanic that actually work.

It would be also cool to have inhaler to be placed in a random spot, or even generate the whole maze procedurally.

Probably, it could benefit a bit more from nicer looking graphics, maybe adding lighting. Also some textures in the section closer to daughter's location look not scaled properly. I also had to press enter multiple time to skip the text, since it keep appear over and over again, not sure if this is intended. Tbh, I would prefer the text to just fade in instead of being typed character by character, since it appears to slow for me. But these are minor things.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. Good job!

@Dieter I tried increasing the radius of the light too but got weird results too, I also changed the color but didn't get wanted results so I just left the game without light maps.

Thanks @okeoke I really appreciate your comment. Yes, the inhaler actually changes position Every few seconds, the inhaler changes to 6 different positions actually. Then for the text, I would have loved to make it skipable as it gets boring reading it over and over again but I didn't have much time to implement that. But I'm excited you enjoyed the game.
I would also like to ask if you experienced any time freeze (time freezing at a particular point) because I've received multiple reports of people complaining of the time freezing but I didn't experience such on my PC.

@luposian and @dieter did you also experience any time freeze, the time stopping abruptly at a certain point?

I noticed the countdown froze, but I was grateful, because I hate timeouts and bad endings. I assume, if the timer runs out, the ending is a bad one, correct?

No, I don't think I did.

I played it multiple times and found the inhaler at the same place. Probably, I just caught the same timing.

I had a couple of issues, but nothing critical: the game process didn't finish completely once, so the game window disappeared, but the music keep playing. Sometimes "press enter to continue" line only gets to "press enter to continu", and if you press enter the main text disappears and starts to be "typed" over again. Also than you reach your daughter/the final text message appears, if you press enter to fast to complete the game, the text disappears and you can move through the level again.

@luposian, when the timer runs out, it's not a bad ending, you just simply have to keep playing till you find your daughter.
