Hi Niko. In the future, would it be possible to add a preview-audio-file whenever importing a sound to coppercube please? EG: when browsing the sounds, they are previewed automatically in the browser. I have thousands of sounds (which I've converted to .ogg format for use in coppercube) but they are not conventionally named, so I have to guess which is the correct file (or preview them externally) before I can import them into coppercube. No big deal really but it would be a very handy feature for me as it does sometimes break my work-flow having to switch between Coppercube and sononym just to preview the sound-samples. Thank you! |

Can't you just do that in Sound manager window of coppercube? |

can also use VLC playlists for all these tiny sound fragments then you can also sort through the sound metadata which is much handier. https://www.freetousesounds.com/how-to-write-metadata-for-sound-effects/ MusicBrainz Picard is a multi-platform open-source tool that lets you easily add metadata to your music files. And there are many more tools. |

Thanks both. Unfortunately, I think the sound manager can only preview sounds already loaded into coppercube, I can't find a way for it to preview sounds which haven't already been loaded into the project. VLC metadata and tags is good idea - I own sononym which has already catalogued my entire library with metadata and tags - the main issue is that coppercube can't search using metadata or tags and also doesn't support drag-and-drop audio files. I may be wrong but I think the only way to load sounds into coppercube is to use the built-in file browser and manually look for the specific file by name. |
