Coming soon : Ultimate walking sounds behavior Based on actual terrain textures used - yes, you can link sounds to terrain textures and play the actual sound of the texture used like rock, gravel, sand, grass as you walk over it... watch this spot.... |

Its all working now - finally after quite a few revisions. I am just making 2 versions using different methods to compare - will post both soon hopefully.... |

Thanks @Robo - first tests with it went great! I think I can make good use of it in some of my current projects. You really put a lot of effort and thinking into this. Top-notch! Thanks for sharing, hope I can return the favor a little more on a future occasion. 👠One question: Does it only work with terrain textures how its scripted in its current state or does it perhaps already work with imported meshes and their textures as ground faces (which I haven't tested myself so far)? |

Thanks 'blackwater'. This also works with any 3d mesh actually that has separate textures so you can maybe use it for 3d mesh terrains also if they have separate textures for different surfaces (usually its a combined texture though). |

I've been trying to find a good terrain texturing program that spits out the different surfaces into individual textures but not found anything yet that does this...let me know if you find anything.... Gaea is nice but still a single texture unless you split it but then its not what I was after still... |

I think CopperCube terrain for level ground and 3d mesh for mountains & hills are a very good combo - will start with that as think this will look quite good still... |
