cheers :) I think it solves a lot of problems for me as fog effect is cool for indoors but not having normal maps is not... |

Some what the same technique I used in my beauty CC Fantasy level with my Fog distance clouds, Except they were a bit further away. A suggestion would be to break up the fog image a bit so it has gaps and have them rotate very slowly in opposite directions..you might get a nice swirling gas/fog effect inside your ship..say if there was an air-vent or shaft blowing some air around..that will create some kinetic atmosphere to a static/still room . I might try that myself. It's a bummer the normals don't work with fog though. CF |

cheers creaturefreak - might try that idea and see how it looks.. I always like any animated textures/interactions rather than static ones.. |

Good idea! Would it be better to attach the fox.png to a billboard/vertical billboard, instead of just a static 3D plane? Then the fog would always face the player, instead of becoming angled as you move around.. |

*Fog, not fox. |

A billboard might be good but I would need like 4 or 5 of them for each level so I will stick to using fixed mesh planes mainly for performance reasons...but yeah...might be ok... |
