The Coppercube awards will be held in November. When the time comes, the community will nominate entries for the following categories; Best art design Best gameplay Best sound design Best storytelling Game of the Year If you would like to nominate a game early, DM me and I will add that game to the voting list. You may nominate multiple games. The first set of 4 awards will be voted and selected as the finalists for GOTY. Think of this like a tournament bracket. Once finalists are all voted on, the 4 winners will be held for GOTY voting. I am running the show, and as such do not get a vote. You may not vote for multiple submissions in the same category. You may vote on your own submission, this is a democracy, but please try to be respectful of each other by voting for each other. That's not really what it's about. It's not a competition, it's a showcase. It's a chance to highlight your favorite games from members of the community throughout the year. I suppose if all you care about is winning, then bragging rights are in it for you, but I can't really afford anything grand or extravagant. All I can really do is provide something to be included in. Whether or not you want to participate, entirely up to you. |

For those who haven't joined the discord; Voting begins November 30th. How this will happen is still undetermined, but it will either be held *in* the discord server so we can keep track of the votes, or will be held using a third party polling website. Note that if we use a third party polling website, this entire system will be built on trust. I trust the community not to vote for multiple submissions in the same category, as well as not to vote for the same submission multiple times. I really want this to be as fair as possible. I really want to include trailers/premiers in the final award show. If you have a trailer you want to include, be it new or old, long or short, it would be great to have it included. Trailers will be shown between winner announcements in similar fashion to the game awards. The final show is slated for December 5th, which gives us a day for voting and four days to edit the show. If voting takes longer, I'll do my best to not push back the date. That said, I don't want to compromise production quality for the sake of delay.
