@jabyfish when CopperCube -5 is on steam, then we have entered the Twilight Zone... :P |

Honestly, I think it should be taken off of Steam. There's no real reason to still have it up there. Flash support is now completely gone, and there's no real reason why you should use the D3D8 or software renderers, plus you're limited to 32-bit, and you'd have to deal with various bugs which have been fixed in 6, and you won't have multi-selection, nor will you have the same lighting system as 6. It also adds confusion to users. They might see version 5 Basic and wonder why its $20 and has various limitations (10 scenes per CCB file, etc) and question why they would want it over version 6 Free, which is (mostly) fully-featured and has more than 5 does, and a reasonably priced "Professional" version exists for those who want it. What I'd suggest is remove version 5 from Steam, and make it so older versions can be downloaded via version 6's "Betas" tab on Steam. I've seen developers who've done this, so it's possible. Maybe for easiness sake, only make the last point-release in each version available, so: 5.7.1 4.5.1 3.5.1 2.5.5 1.4.1 That'd be more feasible. It'd be neat to mess with older versions like this. |
