Instead of the default 2. I tried irredit and the model loaded in with all textures but exported with only one. :( So here is the model and if anyone would be so kind to explain the process of getting models to import with the correct number of texture slots that would be great. :) Some do and some don't Thank you https://drive.google.com/file/d/... |

I found if you load into Blender first then export from Blender into either DAE or OBJ it will load into CC with all texture slots. FBX is chronic for not showing all texture slots, occasionally OBJ can be affected the same also. DAE is normally no problem. You may need to un-select in: Tools / Options/ View unselect group similiar materials may or may not help.. |

I tried loading into Blender but didn't know if I needed to make adjustments since I'm not familiar with Blender. So I just exported it back out with no luck getting all the texture slots. I'm wondering if I got Substance Painter 2021 if I could not only get the textures but way improve them also. I've watched a couple of tutorial videos and it doesn't look hard so much as just a little overwhelming figuring out how to get it going. Looks like fun at any rate. Thanks for the reply. |

@floydness Have you watched this video tutorial which I uploaded months ago on my Youtube channel here. https://youtu.be/82naRJoxYqM it shows you how to fix missing texture slots in CopperCube if that's the problem you are facing. |

I tried doing that, holding shift then adding then control J but the export still only had two slots... Probably just something about that model. I have other similar models that work ok. Thanks for the reply.:) |

How many textures does your model have actually? If you can provide the textures along with your model then I can look into it. because for me it loads 4 texture slots in coppercube. And I think that 4 is the total number of textures that your model uses. Cause there were no blank textures that remained to your texture after I applied random texture into those slots. |
||||
|
Maybe it has to do with how you "applied" the random textures. I tried clicking on the four slots that do show up in irredit settings panel but they didn't transfer over to the texture slots of the model. It still only had two. I don't see anything on the panel that says "Apply" but maybe I'm just not seeing it. There are actually four or more textures already in that model and I don't have copies of them because they weren't created when the model was saved. But a lot of different textures would work. |

Well let me explain you, you need to apply single texture in material slot, texture slots are different and materials slots are different. You model has four material slot you need to apply one texture per material slot. In irredit/irrlicht properties you will find a slider above the texture slots. And you will see "material 1/4" which means there are 4 material slots for the texture. You don't have to put 4 textures into the 4 texture slot. Just select the texture and click the s button of the first texture slot of the material 1/4 then use the slider to select 2nd material slot. Now in material slot 2/4 do the same thing select the texture and use the s button to apply the texture to very first texture slot. And repeat the process for material 3/4 and material 4/4 using the slider and applying texture to the first texture slot. After doing the above steps you will be able to see all the textures. Applied to your model. You might need to apply other textures to texture slot 2 . For example if your model has normal map textures and all. But thats not the case always. And you will be able to do that easily. Once you figure out to apply the texture to material slot. Because once the textures are applied then they will start appearing in the normal materials tab, you don't have to dwal with irredit/irrlicht properties anymore. Hope thats helps😇😇 |

Thank you! I was able to apply 19 materials and get a good result once I understood the process. Going to have to go through my texture collection and update quite a few models. Happiness |

*Edit - Seems like I spoke to soon; tried again today with a different model and could only get 1 texture/material slot in coppercube. With a bit more messing around all day, I managed to get it to work by using directx format instead of fbx format. As soon as I saved as DirectX with UltimateUnwrap3DPro, the extra texture slots appeared in coppercube irrlicht settings. Note to self - I won't be using fbx format any more. ̶H̶o̶w̶ ̶d̶i̶d̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶e̶x̶t̶r̶a̶ ̶1̶8̶ ̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶ ̶s̶l̶o̶t̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶i̶r̶r̶l̶i̶c̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶s̶?̶ ̶I̶'̶m̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶.̶ ̶M̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶i̶m̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶f̶b̶x̶ ̶m̶o̶d̶e̶l̶ ̶h̶a̶s̶ ̶3̶ ̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶3̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶s̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶w̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶i̶m̶p̶o̶r̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶c̶o̶p̶p̶e̶r̶c̶u̶b̶e̶,̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶l̶o̶o̶k̶s̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶g̶o̶t̶ ̶1̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶s̶l̶o̶t̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶1̶ ̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶.̶ ̶O̶K̶,̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶k̶ ̶a̶b̶s̶o̶l̶u̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶a̶g̶e̶s̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶I̶ ̶f̶i̶n̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶f̶i̶g̶u̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶(̶u̶s̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶B̶l̶e̶n̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶v̶2̶.̶9̶)̶ ̶-̶ ̶b̶y̶ ̶s̶w̶i̶t̶c̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶"̶S̶h̶a̶d̶i̶n̶g̶"̶ ̶t̶a̶b̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶u̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶a̶s̶s̶i̶g̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶e̶a̶c̶h̶ ̶m̶e̶s̶h̶,̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶a̶s̶s̶i̶g̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶w̶l̶y̶ ̶c̶r̶e̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶s̶.̶ ̶ ̶ ̶O̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶a̶s̶s̶i̶g̶n̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶a̶ ̶m̶e̶s̶h̶,̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶l̶i̶n̶k̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶(̶i̶m̶a̶g̶e̶ ̶f̶i̶l̶e̶)̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶ ̶(̶i̶n̶ ̶B̶l̶e̶n̶d̶e̶r̶'̶s̶ ̶s̶h̶a̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶a̶b̶)̶ ̶b̶y̶ ̶d̶r̶a̶w̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶(̶d̶r̶a̶g̶i̶n̶g̶/̶d̶r̶o̶p̶p̶i̶n̶g̶)̶ ̶a̶ ̶l̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶'̶s̶ ̶"̶C̶o̶l̶o̶u̶r̶"̶ ̶n̶o̶d̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶'̶s̶ ̶"̶B̶a̶s̶e̶ ̶C̶o̶l̶o̶u̶r̶"̶ ̶n̶o̶d̶e̶.̶ ̶N̶e̶e̶d̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶d̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶e̶a̶c̶h̶ ̶m̶e̶s̶h̶,̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶e̶x̶p̶o̶r̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶d̶e̶l̶,̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶B̶l̶e̶n̶d̶e̶r̶,̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶f̶b̶x̶.̶ ̶ ̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶w̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶s̶l̶o̶t̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶a̶p̶p̶e̶a̶r̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶[̶b̶]̶ ̶v̶i̶e̶w̶ ̶i̶r̶r̶l̶i̶c̶h̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶s̶ ̶[̶/̶b̶]̶ ̶"̶M̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶"̶ ̶t̶a̶b̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶c̶o̶p̶p̶e̶r̶c̶u̶b̶e̶ ̶(̶a̶s̶ ̶e̶n̶a̶b̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶o̶p̶t̶i̶o̶n̶s̶/̶v̶i̶e̶w̶-̶s̶e̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶s̶)̶.̶ ̶T̶o̶ ̶s̶w̶i̶t̶c̶h̶ ̶b̶e̶t̶w̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶a̶v̶a̶i̶l̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶s̶l̶o̶t̶s̶,̶ ̶d̶r̶a̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶l̶i̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶l̶e̶f̶t̶/̶r̶i̶g̶h̶t̶.̶ ̶T̶o̶ ̶l̶o̶a̶d̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶o̶ ̶a̶ ̶s̶l̶o̶t̶,̶ ̶f̶i̶r̶s̶t̶ ̶h̶i̶g̶h̶l̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶s̶i̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶(̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶"̶t̶e̶x̶t̶u̶r̶e̶s̶"̶ ̶w̶i̶n̶d̶o̶w̶)̶,̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶c̶l̶i̶c̶k̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶i̶n̶y̶ ̶"̶s̶"̶ ̶i̶c̶o̶n̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶o̶r̶n̶e̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶"̶m̶a̶t̶e̶r̶i̶a̶l̶s̶ ̶t̶a̶b̶"̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶i̶r̶r̶l̶i̶c̶h̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶s̶.̶ |
