Hi,

I just uploaded CopperCube 6.4.
The most important change is that it adds support for 64 bit, small improvements everywhere, and while macOS still is supported, the editor itself no longer runs on macOS. See the changelog for details: https://www.ambiera.com/coppercu...

🔎︎

Changes:

- 64 bit editor
- 64 bit Windows apps
- 64 bit macOS apps
- Improved macOS .app generation
- Nicer system() command execution
- Resortabe actions
- File import via script
- Stopped macOS editor support
- Removed Oculus Rift Support
- Updated UI
- Various fixes when importing 3D files and textures

It's a free update for all existing users.
You can download it here:

How nice! Much appreciated with 64bit!
Question: Would you advise to keep using 6.3 for existing project files, or is it ok to work with them in the new 64-bit version?

Sorry to say that:
1.I see no changes in the UI at all. It looks exactly the same (but that's ok for me)
2. Spelling error on the changelog-page/mail, etc: Resortab(l)e
;)

Yes, they are backwards and forwards compatible. Just be sure to always have a backup.

1: Yes, might be, depending on your windows version.
2: True, will fix, thx :)

This is very cool! Thanks for the update, Niko!
P.S. there is a typo on the program download page. It says "Download CopperCube 6.3", not "Download CopperCube 6.4".

I desperately want to develop for Oculus Quest 2. Is there any plans to.export to quest 2?

Thanks.

First of all:

Thank you for updating the engine, it's a great new year gift after a sh*tty 365 days of Covid!

Second:

This is so great, I've tried re-sortable actions, they are working, I can finally order them without any retyping!

The exported exe files are really 64bit, I know because I had to re-install ReShade effects, the old ppe setup didn't work with the new 64bit game files.

The overall speed of the new exports seems to be higher but I'll have to test more files and levels.

I will test macOS exports today or tomorrow on my friend's Mac. Hopefully, everything will function as it should.

Once again: great update and thank you!
Cheers!

Niko, thank you very much for this major update.

I take the opportunity of that great CCB event to already wish you and the members of this community a happy and healthy new year 2021.

Wow - great news and thanks for the nice Christmas present Niko !!

I can now allow higher texture (and mesh) sizes in my game to look even better - fantastic !

Great to see you have been quietly working away on your engine still to keep it valid - love your work, cheers !
