CopperCube 1.0.6 is available now, it includes actions and events, and features better 3D rendering quality and speed, because it now uses the 3d capabilities of Flash 10. Happy downloading: http://www.ambiera.com/coppercub... |

Hello, I just downloaded CopperCube 1.05 2 days ago, and I must say WOW! I have the 1.06b update, and had no problems installing or running it on my Intel Core2 Duo Laptop (2ghz CPU w/ 2 G Ram)(works great with the Intel Mobile Chipset and drivers!) This is the bridge in the Irr brand of software I have been waiting for. I was attempting to compile a lot of the features that are already included in this, via CodeBlocks for my game. I work alone, and am an amateur C(++) programmer, and it was taking forever to get some of the most basic coding done, now that I have access to Squirrel and Action Script 3 I can get right down to the nuts and bolts of logic programming and scripting much more easily. As soon as I can, I would like to arrange for a licence to this bad boy! I already have a demo scene programmed and have managed to re-engineer a skybox that moves (more of some inverted spheres that rotate) to create day/night ambiance, and a Sun that orbits my map to create dynamic shadows I love the path finding that is included, I tried to make a plane flying across the sky, but I have problems getting the plane to turn when the path turns... ends up flying backwards on its return flight... any suggestions there? How would I tell Copper Cube to not register the x button after it has been depressed (so I dont get a stuttering jump, or moon jumping from compounding jump button depressions? Here is my ´jump´ Squirrel script: // register key events If anyone has a quick simple fix please let me know, when the code for the preliminary movement and actions are complete I will post the code in its entirety. Hm, I don't think I understand exactly what your problem is, I'm sorry. I guess you want to continually move up the .y position of the camera when the button is pressed, not only once? |

Actually, version 1.0.4 is the earliest publicly available version, IIRC. The last point-releases in each major version: 1.x = 1.4.1 2.x = 2.5.1 3.x = 3.5.1 4.x = 4.5.1 5.x = 5.7.1 The earliest version to include the behavior / action JavaScript feature was 4.0.4, which added it. |
