Hey all, Thought I'd share with you what I've been experimenting with. As you may recall I was trying get some obstacle avoidance programming to help with the AI navigating around a scene with obstacles in it. I'm trying different methods and seeing which is more efficient and accurate. Here's another attempt using "waypoints" object nodes to help the AI navigate around a scene. The Enemy is not using a native path but using custom objects placed around the scene. These objects are part of a group which are being counted and indexed in a "Loop for" script. The enemy uses these index in those objects to navigate. When he also "sees" the player he will chase them and when he loses sight of them he will go back to his waypoint path, avoiding hitting objects. I'm hoping you guys can find this useful and possibly add on to this with a behavior or action script. here's a video roughly explaining what I,m doing https://youtu.be/vs-WgygFBdQ here's where you can download the source file https://drive.google.com/open?id... thanks for looking CF |
