Tonnes of free animations & static mesh found at:

http://freetoronto.org/gameguru/
&
https://github.com/TheGameCreators/FPS-Creator-Classic
(FPSC_MP_20 animations will load directly into CC).

NOTE - these seem predominately licenced free for Game Guru (from previous FPS Creator assets).
If you wish to use them commercially in your game just ask for permission from the third party artists - I bet they will allow it as they already given free already with GG.

Some .X format animations wont load into CC, some will.
You might look at using 'Ultimate Unwrap 3D Pro' could help...

For static meshes in .X format that don't load into CC - use https://www.meshconvert.com/
to convert to OBJ or DAE etc

Textures come as DDS format and you can convert to JPG/PNG etc using GIMP with a dds plugin for it.

Most of the huge amount of stuff mentioned above is for fantasy, medieval, Gothic and other old fashioned stuff including some for WWII. There is one also for sci-fi --> MP_61

nice one !

I found the best way to convert DDS textures is to group them all together and just batch convert all in one go to png using NOESIS - a great little program..

'.x' and other '.dbo' static mesh files from FPSC can be loaded and exported into ms3d, b3d or obj etc using Fragmotion - another great little program.
