Whenever I import a static X model with vertex colors it is mirrored when I import it into CC. This bug is ridiculous and is keeping me from finishing my project. This is so frustrating. I've tried every possible thing (including mirroring the model prior to export so it mirrors it back to what it should be). I just won't work on this project I guess... Ridiculous

I've had the same problem importing animated models created in Blender... mirrored in CC... YES - very frustrating!

yeah, I didn't really find a fix either... but my models were single use so it was easier to just use them mirrored.
As for CC itself, I think a lot of people I use to see just a year ago have given up on it. After niko made it free (CC6.0) it seems the people who were most activate were just gone... BUT, I can't seem to just let it go. I still love to use it! As a matter of fact, I have been pushing myself to try and figure out how to make it do things I didn't think it would do... somethings worked, some didn't (not yet). And when you consider what CC was designed to do, it is STILL to best engine for it. Fast, easy and no programing needed. (mostly) So, I try to remember and use CC to build the things it was made to build... and Unreal engine for the things it won't.
But I still have hope of making a fun, exciting PLAYABLE game with CC - the people who play it will say it was most enjoyable!

I found a fix for my use-case: Someone said Blender exports vertex colors if you export a DAE file so I tried it (Blender 2.79b) and guess what? It works perfectly! It doesn't mirror the mesh at all. If you have a static mesh which has vertex colors (as I do - this is how i am doing lighting) then do this.
