Shadow problem

Hello. After more than 3 hours of research I had to give up. I can't find my thinking error.

Figure 01: In the editor, the shadows of the adjacent buildings are drawn correctly in both the small circle and the large circle.

Figure 02: After publication as Windows .exe, the shadow in the small circle is drawn correctly, but the shadow in the large circle is not.

I would be happy if you could give me a little food for thought. Thank you.

I have no idea why this is happening :)
If you experimented for 3h I guess you tested everything in CC publish options, maybe there's a difference when starting a game with exe in correlation with a graphic card, you could have enabled some features that influences the way lighting is displayed that are active outside of CC editor. I could be/probably am extremely wrong but it's all I could think of :)

I have had similar problems. Try deleting all lights and add them again.
Or, try with a new file and recreate the scene. If that works, then perhaps your file was somehow made corrupt.

I do know that shadows in the editor are in general higher resolution than the one that are rendered in the game. Can you try raising the resolution of the shadow? Also I noticed more problems with shadows from multiple lights. Try disabling shadows from all but the sunlight.

Thank you for your answers! Today I will implement some of the solutions, look at the results and give new feedback.

Scene real-time shadow enabled.
Directional Light only.
Tested Light Calculation Shadow and Global Illumination

Texture Size: 1024x1024 Resolution: 1080
Texture Size: 1024x1024 Resolution: 256
Texture Size: 1024x1024 Resolution: 8
Texture Size: 256x256 Resolution: 64

Shadows are always missing in the big circle.

@srfstudio
I don't think so. All other demo files from the developer behave the same as in his videos regarding the shadows.

@Blackwater @ishmaru
I don't know. It's just a wildly assembled test file in which I try out different things. But it shouldn't be corrupt.

I will put it aside and think about it sometime later. Thanks again for your answers.

After testing some other game engines, I recently returned to Coppercube to solve some of my problems. Among other things it became clear to me that my shadow problem is easy to solve if you read the manufacturer's documentation carefully.
In the document Realtime Shadow Renderinghttps://www.ambiera.com/coppercu... he writes for example:
"You only need to specify the "lightmapping" lighting method in their material for objects which should be statically lighted, and "dynamic" for objects which should be lit using shadow maps. Note that it is currently not possible to have shadow maps appear on objects which have light maps on them, and the other way round."

In this sense, possible solutions - for other users with similar questions - are given below.

1. graphically appealing levels with shadows but without real-time shadows of animated objects.

2. levels whose objects are generally created with dynamic materials (animated objects) without appealing shadows of static objects.

3. Level building including all static objects in another program such as Blender, and there to calculate the shadows. After that you can import this into Coppercube and do everything with real-time shadows.

My solution is wrong and you have found a better solution?
Write them in the forum so that others can also participate in your knowledge.
Thank you.
Vincent
