When I use the room creator, my walls are either paper thin or whole cubes, both not suitable to add doors and windows. Is it possible to change the thickness of them? |

Cool. Apparently there are two replies but the message board system won't show them. |

Yeah, maybe replies were spam :/ Anyway it's not possible in one take but you could split your house / create rooms separately. The room-mesh CC creates is very precise, two rooms can be seamlessly combined afterwards or you can put them next to each other considering your door-frame model dimensions. In case of windows it doesn't matter because the player will see only window-frame, the dimensions of that frame will simulate wall-thickness. If player can exit outside than it's a completely different thing, you could duplicate geometry and flip normals on duplicated walls but, in that case, I would suggest creating a house in external modeling programs. |

...wasn't there a reply after my post about Sweet Home 3D? I've seen it late yesterday & wanted to reply today on how it's a good program for quick structure-modeling :/ I guess that anti-spam filter is starting to have a mind of it's own & raising against us :) |

Aaahhh my post was deleted about Sweethome 3D |

Do you remember what you wrote, what could have triggered the anti-spam filter? All I can think of is the link to SH3D, it seems they didn't transfer to secure domain, it's still http in my browser :/ |

@srfstudio Yeah, literally it just said that I've swapped from using the internal room editor to using Sweethome 3D. Mentioned a few of it's features such as being able to change wall thickness and the ability to add multiple levels, and gave the URL. Weird |

I had a quick look at Sweet Home 3D and already had high hopes that I can easily and quickly put together a whole mansion for a game, then I read that it needs Java. I try to keep my system Java-free. I'm absolutely not a fan of it because it constantly needs updates like Adobe Flash. Is there any other free interior design software that exports files compatible with CopperCube? |
