Hi there! As I mentioned before, I have more questions. I tried to import an FBX model (from Turbosquid) as an animated mesh. I ran into several problems: First of all, the mesh is scaled way too big. OK, so scale it down. Still too big. In fact I had to scale it down with a factor of 0.001, to make it fit the scene. Are there better ways to resize a model while importing? Next: The FBX file itself has no animations, in fact the animations a several serparate files. How do I merge them into ONE model ? Hopefully somebody has a hint for me how to do that. |

I use Blender to import different animations for a single model & join them through Blender's NLA Editor. I heard that fragMOTION also works but, so far, I only imported & merged bvh files so I wouldn't know. I think that 3DGS MED could also do the trick with ASCII & 'Add Frames' option but I haven't used it for a long time. |

If the aniamtions are also in the format fbx format as mixamo's animations are always in fbx foemat i will recommend fragmotion..... and autodesk fbx converter... |

Hello , I also have a problem with fbx import , but it concerns textures. I purchased a few fbx models from , but : the .fbx comes with different texture files ( body , clothes, accessory) but coppercube only allows us to set ONE texture. So either my character is all "body" , all "clothes" , or all "rake" ( tool)… Any ideas ? Thanks ! |

I always have used (and will always will) use the X format for my animated meshes and OBJ files for static ones. the FBX support is flaky at best whereas X has always worked perfectly for me |

Hello , thanks for your answer. Do you know a tool for converting fbx to .X ?? |

@therickman you could use Blender to import FBX and than export to X. That alone probably won't solve your texture issues unless FBX model imports into Blender with all textures in-place. Even than you should check if texture and material specs are sett good. Sometimes I have to join all separated geometry parts of a model in Blender so that the model will load properly textured in CC. |

thanks srfstudio ! I'll try blender then… I never really got into 3d modelling , especially the texture mapping part has always been obscure to me… that's why I turned to ready made models , I really ( naively ) thought that the now standard fbx" format would make things easier….it doesn't. |
