Title says it all :) The quality is incredible at 64kbps and the filesize is small

Yes, would be an idea. It would just be a matter of writing an irrKlang decoder for Opus. But I don't think browsers (WebGL) or Androids supports it.

Ah, right! I was thinking irrKlang would need to be extended to allow this. Well, it'd be convenient for music tracks especially since with ogg files they're usually 4-5 MB for me... Not too large, but still. It adds up eventually! Whereas with an Opus file I had it set to 64kbps and I think 48000 hz / stereo and it was just over 1 MB

I'd actually like to re-iterate this request :) It'd be quite efficient and nice for dialog since speech is way less than 100 kb when encoded with the OPUS codec... It's insane! Hell, I wish this could be done soon. I don't want to pressure you though

Daringness effectively imports Opus records either by: Drag and drop the Opus documents likewise https://mypcfile.com/extension/opus straightforwardly onto the primary Audacity window. Record - - > Import - - > Audio from the Audacity fundamental window.
