Slower, longer more gradual jump?

Right now, the FPS jump is very, very immediate and rigid - press space - go up/down.

Jumping, however, is a bit slower than that and while I know you can slow down the jump/lessen the height - it's very, very unrealistic.

A jump should be an arc where one gradually raises in the air, hopefully avoids a obstacle and then more quickly comes down due to gravity.

Is there a gravity control or setting? Is there a better jump available?

For that matter, is there a much better 1st person controller with climbing, running, jumping, swimming, fighting, etc. available?

Yes, you can change the gravity to adjust with the jump.... You chnage it in the attributes settings of the root scene node..

I fiddled with gravity and it did little to nothing to fix the issue. Still straight up and straight down no matter the setting.
