How do you people here get an animated mesh into coppercube? As far as i understand .x is one of the only ways. On my use case with some fuse models (.fbx to .x) via blender i have i got stuck with that the fuse model has multiple textures and only one texture seems to be setteable in coppercube. Models form autodesk character generator seem to go better but even there i have this one model that has hair attached with its own texture that i dont see to be able to set from coppercube. Looking a milkshape i failed to see if that has an .fxb import option. So far importing via blender seems to be the best way but my blender knowledge is almost non existing ;-) So what is good way to get existing fbx skinned mesh animations into coppercube. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and 'best ways' in advance. |

Just wait a little bit more.... Once coppercube 6 is out you can import your fbx animated models directly into the coppercube... Untill then You can convert your fbx models into .x or .ms3d or .b3d using Fragmotion or any other method and then import them in the engine. |

UU3D is fantastic for almost all UV and other 3D tasks. I bought Ultimate Unwrap 3D Pro. Fantastic for conversions. Otherwise, Mixamo is a great way to autorig and export animated characters. Reallusion has the iClone 6 pipeline, along with 3D Exchange and Character Creator 2 - very good at creating and export characters with rigs and animations but very expensive. Mike |
