So, what kind of things could be done with the client source code / where would it be useful for the people who'd need it? I'm just curious about what one could do if they knew what to do with it!

It all depends on what you want to do with your app or game. For example if your game lacks some functionality and you are unable to add it via javascript or in coppercube directly... But you know how to do it in C++ then you cam get the source and edit the client to add that feature and then recompile the client...
The most needed use for this is to add google adsesnse advertisement to the client by using the android source code.
