I'm just getting into CopperCube, and game design for that matter. I was going to purchase V5 off of Steam, and then I saw that the professional add-on is on sale as well. Should I get it? Your thoughts and feeling would be greatly appreciated. THanks M |

If the extra features appeal to you, then by all means get it. It gets rid of the 10-scene limit so you can add as many scenes as you need, adds video playback, a useful scene metrics tool, and also Oculus DK1/2 support if you have one of those. It also gives you the option to download the client source code for every platform (Windows/Mac/Android/Flash/WebGL) so you could expand your game even further! |

Interesting. Do you find that you're limited with the 10 scene maximum? M |

With one project in particular I needed more than 10 scenes so I felt it was worth the discounted price (I wouldn't buy it at the normal price though). I suggest you buy it before it goes back up to $289.99 if the features I mentioned appeal to you. Now, you can get around this 10-scene cap in the Basic version if you want. Just use the "switch to CCB file" script command, but this essentially open-sources your game (or that level in particular) since any player can just open the bundled CCB with the editor and edit it. Maybe incorporate this and embrace it (say "You can mod the game!") and have each level be a separate CCB file. This would almost reduce the workload on your end since you could focus on each individual level. Hopefully I'm making sense lol |
