Okay, so I think this is helping me. I have a very large level which consists of multiple parts (3 floors including an outside area and another area after that). I was dealing with a very low framerate (30fps or so) so I split the individual sections into separate meshes and compressed the textures heavily. I have the floors hide themselves when you aren't near them. Meaning if you go to floor 1, floors 2 and 3 get hidden.
my question is this: Would this help any for performance? I'm noticing I am more or less getting a very steady 40-55 FPS now that I did this, but I wanted to know if this actually DOES help any others... thanks.

Yes, that should improve performance. Everything not being drawn makes it faster.

Hmm, and would doing that "clear memory" JavaScript code help (do it whenever changing areas) or would that be overkill?
