Hi, i've tried to create the lightmaps for a simple mesh with 3ds max and didn't get it working correct (only one lightmap was correct, on other objects it was displaced). now i've tried to do the same with giles and it didn't work either =( example: http://img246.imageshack.us/my.p... thanks for your helping me! |

Hm, looks like a problem with the file importer. Maybe you could try to use a different file format. |

Can you try X? There are a few good X-exporters for max. Also, this is just a Guess on my part but would it have anything to do with smoothing groups? They are not supported by irrlicht with 3ds. |

It looks like your mapping your lightmaps and textures maps to the same channel (1) your light map needs to occupy a seperate light map namely 2. you can check this in the material editor in max under the channel properites. I find 3dsmax render to texture is perfect for any light mapping needs btw :) |
