Is it just a matter of buying it (after getting the basic edition, of course) and that's it? Does it install over the Basic edition and it'll switch it over to Professional?
I was looking to buy it once the next sale comes along.

It is just a different license key and CopperCube will know if it is the professional or basic edition. Or do you mean on Steam? There, it is a DLC, your installation remains the same.

oops. I meant the Steam version, yes. I'm assuming once you buy the upgrade, it'll overwrite some stuff to make it see itself as the professional version?

A bit different: Steam knows which DLC you have bought, so it tells CopperCube that it is the professional edition, when you restart Coppercube after buying.

Ah, clever! Thanks for letting me know. I don't know if you could say with any amount of certainty, but when would the next sale be? No big deal if you can't disclose that info, but I thought I'd ask.
