At long last, I've decided to bring the XEffects framework into irrEdit! Here is a video showing it's use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p... This plugin allows you to create shadow map spot lights and adjust the colour/position/rotation/fov/etc to your preference in real time. It is still in the testing phase, so please report back if everything works correctly. It is compiled against irrEdit 1.4.2 so make sure you use that. Features include: - Up to 100 shadow map casting lights. (Performance not taken into account ;) ) - Additive lights for realistic lighting. - Per-light colour. - Adjustable near value, far value and FOV. To use: - Click plugin icon (One with the lightbulb) to create a shadow map casting spot light. - 2 scene nodes will be created, the light frustum and a child sphere showing where the center of the light is. - To move/rotate, select the light frustum (Or sphere if you wish) and use the move/rotate tools. - To adjust fov/near/far select the light frustum and use the scale tool, different axes will adjust different parameters. (As shown in the video). - To adjust light colour select the sphere and change it's Emissive Color. - Shadow lights can be cloned but color information will not be copied. - Currently no saving/loading feature is implemented. And here is the download, extract it into your base irrEdit directory: http://irrlichtirc.g0dsoft.com/B... Cheers, and thanks Niko for irrEdit. |
- Currently no saving/loading feature is implemented.
Does that mean we can test it (view it in the Editor), but we can't use it (as we can't save it)? If yes, when do you think you can provide a plugin that can save/load? Btw. great work! |
