Hey there. I really like irrEdit; it's a cool little program, which will make the process of developing the monster I intend to make, a Tales-style RPG, a lot easier. At least I thought it would. Without the User Data feature, I don't know how I'm going to place special objects into a scene such as treasure chests, NPCs, enemy encounters, event triggers... etc.
I'm using Irrlicht.NETCP, so what would be the best substitute for this much-needed feature?

Maybe you could encode some of the stuff into the objects name and id? But that's really just a work around.
