Hello...! I love IrrEdit. However -- I'm getting really frustrated with this -- I'm having an impossibly stupid problem. Basically, all I want is a mesh like the default cube with the default texture. I made a mesh in Blender and exported it as 3ds (and subsequently many other file formats) and imported it into IrrEdit. When I try to add the texture it just turns a pasty brown rather than the wonderful box. What is going on?!?! I tried adding the texture in Blender and ...no avail there either. If I import it as a .x it almost works, but the texture is all distorted and skewed. Thanks! ~Charlie |

Looks like there is a problem with importing your texture coordinates. Maybe you could try different settings when exporting or a different file format? |

Have you textured it previously in your application? A polygon list need to be defined for a particuliar surface type and application of the texture. IRRedit will not texture your object if you didnt defined the texture first in your application |

Hello, I have the same problem with applying textures in irrEdit. What should I do? (I made the 3D models with Art of Illusion, and it's working correctly in it) Thanks! |

Simply try another file format, in most cases, this helps. |

If only! I've tried several formats: - Maya (.obj) - 3DS Max (.3ds) - STL (.stl) - DirectX (.x) Tried with Blender, Vivaty Studio and Art of Illusion... Always a texture problem. Looks like the object texture is only the FIRST pixel of the texture (object has a uniform color). I've tried with several textures... Any idea? Thanks |

I had same problems with Blender, even if I defined textured there. Only useful format was .3ds but still sometimes it was exported wrong. Like Blender have some bad mood hehe. But there were no problem with 3D max studio. So only I can advice, try try try try and maybe youll find some useful format. |
