I guess everything is said the subject :) Irredit 0.7 crashes when it comes to loading a .irr file from 0.6.
Concerning my scene, which is quite huge, it loads around 3 textures and 1 Octree before it crashes.
Can someone relate all the changes made on Irrlicht 0.7 so that it is possible to edit the .Irr and make it readable for Irredit 0.7 ? :D
Thanks !

I heard that niko had rewrote the whole editor so I guess the problem occurs because of that... I don't know how to sovle this problem though.  :-/

Ah, that's bad, thanks for reporting. I'll have a look at it and try to fix the problem.

Hey Niko & Virion,
If you need my file to work on the problem (as I said it is quite a lot of work, the .irr is around 2Mo not mentionning the meshes and texture files so if the issue is multiple, you should have many occurences), just let me know.

Hey,
Now I have a bigger problem...
I don't know how I don't know why, but now Irredit 0.6 does not load on my computer...
When I click on the .exe, nothing just happens, and no trace in the program manager.
I tried to re-unzip and re-download the program, but no change.
So since my work does not want to work on 0.7, I can do nothing now :(
Any ideas ?

More news :
Using 0.6 I was confused for a long time about the best export format to use because there was a lot of small troubles with every kind of formats. I found finally that .x was the most convenient, and then configured the Panda exporter for Max (even though there was bugs even with this configuration).
But with 0.7, I found out that most of my former meshes are now bugging : some are disappearing when you try to approach it, some do not have to right count of textures, and for all those meshes, using the shadow tool cancels the smoothing.

I must precise that I work with quite "complex" meshes, for example houses composed of separate assembled meshes with different textures (doors, windows, etc...).
The point is, now I really think that Irrlicht NEEDS a dedicated exporter, because from experience there is way too much troubles with other formats when it comes to complex meshes.

...Or maybe I am a moron and do not understand what others did
, considering I am the inly one who complains about it :D

I'll take a look at the irrEdit 0.6 source and see what the problem is, and maybe provide a patch for it.
I also already fixed a few bugs in irrEdit 0.7, and going to release a patch there as well. About the disappearing meshes: Could you send one of those to me, or post them into the Irrlicht Engine forum please?

Okay, thanks for support about IrrEdit 0.6. Can't help you much about it unfortunately, I just don't understand.
I will send you "bugged" mesh as soon as I can.

Again, thanks.
