I have never used a modeling or world editor, and would like to use IrrEdit to learn the basics. Is there a good getting-started guide? Maybe a tutorial? If not specificially for IrrEdit, maybe IrrEdit is enough like some other program that I can "borrow" their startup guide?
Thanks, Daryl

There is now a new tutorial online, but I think it was written by you :) http://www.ambiera.com/irredit/gettingstarted.html

Why, yes, it was! And there may be more to come. This one was quick and dirty. I may get more proficient if I can just convince my wife that this is just another way of "getting published." Also, it may be another way of getting people to offer hints for how to do things better/smarter/faster.
